More new Velveteen pics coming soon.
Thanks again Lisa & Family!
The Velveteen Lop is a very new breed, with not very many breeders, thru out the U.S.A.they seem to be Very hard to find. Mary Crawford, & David Kabela both of Texas,The originator's of the breed and have been working hard on the breed for several years. Mary's first litter was in June of 1994. She did not sell any stock until the ARBA convention in KY in 1999. They look much like an English Lop only smaller with rex fur. They are a small to medium sized bunny , with very long lopped ears.A character of an English lop, only shorter. They have very soft rex, (velvet) fur, like a Mini Rex or Rex does. They have a good temperament, like to be cuddled , & seem to enjoy human contact. Adult Velveteen Lops should be over 5 pounds and under 6 1/2 pounds. We have fell in love with this new breed & so will you, I attended convention in Indianapolis, Indiana to bring back some new velveteens from David Kabela & Mary Crawford. Special thanks to David & Mary, YOUR VELVETEENS ARE AWESOME!
